Man charged with partner's murder

Kirsty Wilson

A 40-year-old man has been charged with murdering his partner, whose body was found following a fire at their home.

Alan Jermey, a car dealership manager, was charged on Friday with murdering 34-year-old Kirsty Wilson.

Miss Wilson's body was found at the scene of the fire in Greenmeads, Woking, Surrey by firefighters called just after midnight on Wednesday.

The couple's two children, who were rescued from the blaze by fire crews, are being cared for by relatives.

They were taken to hospital with Mr Jermey, where they were treated for smoke inhalation and discharged early on Wednesday.

He was arrested shortly afterwards and is due to appear before magistrates in Woking on Saturday.

Surrey Police said Miss Wilson's body was formally identified by dental records on Friday.
