Cameras bringing collisions down
Road safety campaigners have reported a 43% reduction in crashes near speed cameras in Surrey over three years.
Latest figures from the Surrey Safety Camera Partnership also showed a 74% reduction in death and serious injury collisions near the cameras.
Project manager Duncan Knox said the cameras were saving people "a lot of misery and heartache".
But he added there was "no room for complacency" and the partnership was still looking for new camera sites.
Figures from the partnership said 589 people were either killed or seriously injured on Surrey's roads last year.
