Two killed in three-car collision

Two people have been killed in a collision involving three cars on the A3 in Surrey.

The drivers of two of the cars - a woman in her 60s and a man in his 50s - were pronounced dead at the scene. The third motorist suffered minor injuries.

The crash happened near Esher, just south of the A244 Copsem Lane junction, shortly after midnight.

The accident led to the closure of the carriageway for about two hours. Police have appealed for witnesses.
