Knife used in off-licence robbery

A knife-wielding robber escaped with cash and tobacco after a raid at a Suffolk shop.

The man entered The Local off-licence in Meredith Road, Ipswich, on Thursday and demanded the male employee hand over cash.

A quantity of money was placed into a carrier bag along with some tobacco, which the robber had also demanded.

He is described as white, aged in his late teens to early 30s, of very thin build and about 5ft 8in (1.73m).

He was wearing a grey hooded top, dark-coloured denim jeans, and a black woollen scarf.
