Christmas cancelled for butchers

A Suffolk butchers is cancelling Christmas after raiders stripped the shop of its entire stock for the third time in five years.

Burglars broke into pig breeders' Highways, in Rickinghall, and stole gammon, bacon, and hanging pigs due to be prepared for Christmas.

The owner's knives were also taken during the incident on Wednesday.

Philip Brown, from Highways, said: "They have taken everything. Basically this Christmas is off for us."

Mr Brown said: "They've taken all the gammon, all the bacon, even the hanging pigs, through the windows.

"They broke all the windows. All the fridges and freezers have been left open. All the doors left open.
