Call to aid county's beekeepers

A call for action to help Suffolk beekeepers has been made by an MEP for the county.

Conservative MEP Geoffrey Van Orden has made a plea for more money to be spent on research to discover what is causing the bee population to fall around 30%.

The insects have been hit by disease which means beekeepers are suffering a huge drop in trade.

Mr Van Orden is hoping further research will shed light on the disease and lead to a cure.
