A support group has been set up at a hospital in Suffolk for people affected by head and neck cancer.
The group will meet every other month in the lecture theatre at Ipswich Hospital's post-graduate centre.
Amanda Ford, a Macmillan radiotherapy specialist at the hospital, said: "Group meetings provide an opportunity for patients and carers to meet.
"I've found more people live through the condition than the public perceives and it helps to share tips and advice."
Each meeting will host a guest speaker, chosen by the patients, followed by a discussion.
The meetings have been given funding by the Somersham Ward Support Group and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The first meeting is on Monday 3 November at 1900 BST.
The speaker will be Anjan Shah, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, who will talk about how and why patients should look after their teeth and mouths.
