Man, 38, stabbed in street attack

A 38-year-old man has been stabbed in Ipswich, police said.

The victim, who was attacked on a footpath near Woodbridge Road, is now recovering at Ipswich Hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Police cordoned off the footpath and a block of flats in Samuel Court while forensic evidence was gathered.

Suffolk Police are appealing to anyone with information about the attack, which happened just after midnight, to contact them.
