Renewed appeal over car park rape

Detectives investigating the rape of an 18-year-old woman in Suffolk have appealed for information one month on.

After a night out in Ipswich, the woman became separated from friends in the London Road/West End area between midnight and 0400 BST on 19 July.

She accepted a lift from three men who spoke broken English, before being driven to an unidentified car park where two of the men raped her.

Police urged anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact them.

Suffolk Police have studied CCTV from across the town as part of their investigation into the attack.

The footage shows the victim was in West End Road at 2350 BST on 18 July.

Det Sgt Carl Fisher, of Suffolk Police, said: "This is the last sighting we currently have of the victim prior to the incident.

"The footage shows the victim is wearing a light coloured, sleeveless jacket.

"We would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen her to call us immediately as they could hold vital information, which may help this investigation progress further."
