A biker convicted of causing death by dangerous driving has failed in a bid to have his driving licence returned.
Christine Seymour, 58, died when she was hit by Christopher Bainbridge's motorcycle in Ipswich, in August 2005.
Her husband Brian had to have both legs amputated and the couple's grandsons Kieron and Ethan were also injured.
Mr Bainbridge, 35, who has now served a three-and-a-half year prison sentence, told Ipswich Crown Court he needed his licence back for charity work.
Mr Bainbridge, of Lincoln Close, Ipswich, who had denied causing death by dangerous driving, was also banned from driving for three years.
During his trial, Ipswich Crown Court heard he was late for a haircut and was seen racing, weaving in and out of traffic moments before running into the four as they crossed London Road.
