Woman accused of attempted murder

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was attacked in a Suffolk village.

The 27-year-old victim suffered a wound to his body in Kingsbury Walk, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, just before midnight on Monday, police said.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment where he remains.

Sarah-Jane Smith, of Kingsbury Walk, Great Cornard, is due before Sudbury magistrates accused of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.
