Arrest after lay-by man's death

A man arrested over the death of a 47-year-old man who was found seriously injured in a lay-by has been released on bail.

The 38-year-old was arrested on Sunday evening over the death of Douglas Torrance from Bedworth, Warwickshire.

He died in hospital after being found on the A50 between Uttoxeter and Draycott Island on 14 July.

Police said last week that the results of a post-mortem examination into his death were so far inconclusive.
