Two drivers hurt in road accident

Two male drivers had to be taken to hospital after a road accident in the Staffordshire Moorlands, police said.

The cars - a Nissan Micra and a Chrysler - collided on the Cheadle Road at Boundary near to the Red Lion pub on Tuesday evening.

The 39-year-old Micra driver suffered chest injuries, while the 19-year-old driver of the other car had whiplash.

Both men were taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. Police urged witnesses to contact them.
