Woman injured by car park thief

A woman had to be taken to hospital after being dragged along a car park by a handbag thief.

The woman had been walking across the car park at the Asda store in Ventura Place, Tamworth, Staffs, when the driver of a stolen car grabbed her bag.

She was pulled along the car park by the driver, still in the car, and was treated for cuts to her head and arms.

The red Vauxhall car the man was in had been stolen from Lichfield earlier on the Saturday.
