Appeal for man missing five years

Officers are making a renewed appeal for information about a man who went missing while making his way to Spain five years ago.

Alan Wemyss disappeared in June 2002 after leaving Stone, Staffordshire, to deliver karaoke equipment to a bar.

The 47-year-old from Moore Close caught a lunchtime ferry from Plymouth to Santander but did not arrive at Alicante, his destination.

His family and friends have not heard from him since.

He was driving a dark blue Ford Luton diesel van, registered X228 ABF, which he hired from Stafford Van Hire.
