Family tribute to killed father

Daron Hargreaves The family of a man who died after being found in a street with head injuries said he was a "devoted dad".

Father-of-two Daron Hargreaves, 32, from Stoke-on-Trent, died on 22 December after being found in Chell Green Avenue in the city.

He lived in Chell Green with his fiancee Emma Wyatt, 26, and their sons Owen Paul, five, and Lloyd, three.

In a statement, his family described him as a "fantastic dad and a great uncle" who made everyone feel special.

"Daron was an outgoing person, with a lively personality. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him," the statement said.

"May he live on in our hearts for ever"

He was a music lover who dreamed of becoming a DJ, was a Stoke City fan and also enjoyed fishing.

"We would like to thank everyone in the community for their great support throughout this tragic time in our lives.

"It gives us pleasure knowing how much Daron meant to everyone. May he live on in our hearts for ever."

Gary Rogers, 18, of Bentley Road, Jamie Bennett, 19, of Grayshott Road, Martin McGuinness, 22, of Pitshill, and Daniel Tunstall, 20, of Rivington Crescent have been charged with his murder.

A further eight people have been questioned and released on police bail.
