Sniffer dogs at house fire scene

Specially-trained sniffer dogs are being taken to the scene of a house fire that broke out overnight in Worthing, West Sussex.

Fire crews were called to the fire in Shelby Road, Durrington, just after 0100 BST.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said there were initial reports that a person was trapped in the building, but the house turned out to be empty.

Eighteen firefighters attended the fire, which is now being investigated.
