Cancer sufferers' naked calendar

One of the calendar pictures Eleven women and one man who all lived through breast cancer have stripped off and been covered in body paint for a charity calendar.

It was the idea of Shona Masters, from Crowborough in East Sussex, who had her left breast removed three years ago.

The calendar will raise money for the Cancerbackup charity while also helping people who have had a mastectomy to come to terms with their bodies.

"We can still look and feel great," said Ms Masters.

The calendar is now going to print after she and the other contributors allowed themselves to be photographed wearing only body paint.

Shelagh Miles, or Miss September, said: "I'm still me, even though there's a little bit missing, I'm still there so that's the main thing."

The calendar is initially being sold on the internet.
