The family of a woman who died after her husband reversed into her on the driveway of their Sheffield home have spoken of their "catastrophic" loss.
Doreen Dickinson, 84, who met her husband Colin, 85, more than 50 years ago, died in hospital on Tuesday.
In a statement Mrs Dickinson's family said it would "take a great deal of time" to come to terms with their loss.
South Yorkshire Police said they were investigating Mrs Dickinson's death but it appeared to be "a tragic accident".
The couple had been preparing to go out for the afternoon when the incident happened on Halifax Road.
Mr and Mrs Dickinson met when they both worked at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. They have a son and grandchildren.
"Our whole family and our friends are deeply shocked by this catastrophic event," the family said.
