Man, 19, seriously hurt in crash

A teenager has suffered life-threatening injuries when the car he was travelling in hit a stone wall in South Yorkshire on Sunday night.

Police said the Vauxhall Corsa car hit the wall on Dog Kennels Hill in the Kiveton Park area of Rotherham.

Officers said the driver appeared to lose control while trying to negotiate a left-hand bend close to Holmesfield Close before hitting the wall.

The seriously hurt man is a 19-year-old from the Sheffield area.
