Driver injured when car overturns

A 19-year-old driver was injured when his car crashed and landed on its roof in a garden in South Yorkshire.

The Renault Clio was being driven on Milton Road in Hoyland, Barnsley, when it clipped the kerb and crashed into two garden walls before overturning.

Police said the driver was taken to Barnsley District Hospital suffering a punctured lung and two broken ribs.

Officers are asking any witnesses to the crash, which happened on Wednesday night, to contact them.
