Man charged with woman's murder

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was found dead in a bedroom at her home in Sheffield.

The body of Jane Green, 44, was discovered by police in her flat in Wood Farm Drive, Stannington, in the early hours of Thursday.

Robert Hodgson, 54, from Stannington, has been charged with her murder and will appear before Sheffield magistrates later.

Police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
