Crash victim was 'gifted dancer'

Tiffany Auld

A 13-year-old girl who died in a road accident in South Yorkshire was a "gifted performer" who taught at a local dance school, her family said.

Tiffany Auld was hit by a van when she stepped out from behind an ice cream van on Millhouses Street in Hoyland on Friday evening.

The Kirk Balk School pupil taught at the Karina Mullins dance school.

Her family said: "Tiffany was loved and adored by all her family and will be greatly missed."

The schoolgirl was originally from the West Midlands, with relatives and friends in the Darlaston, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton areas, police said.

'Ray of sunshine'

The family statement added: "She was a beautiful daughter and sister to Berry.

"Tiffany was also a talented and gifted performer who loved dancing and creativity, teaching dance at the Karina Mullins dance school.

"Tiffany was an inspiration to everyone who came into contact with her and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends in the West Midlands as well as her family and friends in Barnsley.

"She had a unique ability to bring a smile to everyone and was our ray of sunshine.

"The family are deeply touched by the support of the local community at this difficult time but request their privacy be respected to allow them to grieve."
