Convicted sex offender on the run

Edmund Osmond

A high risk sex offender from South Yorkshire is on the run.

Edmund Osmond, 73, from Sheffield, is wanted by police after breaching the conditions of his licence, imposed for life, since his release from prison.

Osmond has previous convictions for sexual and violent offences and is a high risk to the public, especially to vulnerable adults, said police.

He has not been seen at his home in Sheffield since 17 September. He is known to visit Leeds and Nottingham.

Osmond is 5ft 10ins tall (1.8m) and of stocky build with a reddish complexion, blue eyes and grey short hair which is receding and bald on top.

He has also been seen wearing a short strawberry blond wig and wears glasses for reading.
