Boy charged with stabbing death

Dale Robertson

A boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of an 18-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Sheffield.

Dale Robertson was attacked in Rokeby Drive, Parson Cross, on Saturday night. The stabbing happened after a disturbance at a nearby house party.

The boy, 16, was remanded in custody at Sheffield Youth Court until his next appearance on 18 September.

Two 17-year-old youths are still in custody. Three others, aged 18, 16, and 15, have been bailed.

Meanwhile, two other 17-year-olds, originally arrested on Saturday, have also been bailed pending further police inquires.

A ninth teenager, a 16-year-old boy, has been released without charge.
