Inquest due after teenager dies

A South Yorkshire teenager who died despite the efforts of the emergency services has been named by police.

Billy Darren Sillence, 15, was found by 999 crews called to a property in Tickhill Road in the Maltby area of Rotherham early on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said the boy's death had not been as a result of violence.

Six men and three women questioned over the death have now been released.

Officers are waiting for the results of toxicology tests following a post-mortem examination.

An inquest is expected to be opened in Rotherham on Wednesday.
