Teenager injured on stolen bike

A teenager was seriously hurt when the stolen motorbike he was riding crashed into railings on a road in South Yorkshire.

The 17-year-old local youth, who was not wearing a helmet, was riding a Honda 125 on Prince of Wales Avenue, Sheffield when he crashed on Saturday.

The youth was taken to hospital with a fractured skull and internal injuries after being thrown from the bike.

Police have asked that any witnesses to the crash contact them.
