Stab man suffers serious injuries

A man is fighting for his life after being attacked in the centre of Barnsley early on Thursday.

South Yorkshire Police said a 23-year-old man had been stabbed in the leg and suffered "life threatening" injuries in the incident.

The victim, who has not be named, was taken to the town's hospital for surgery to deal with the wounds.

A 15-year-old boy and two men aged 25 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and are being questioned.
