Arrests after rival schools fight

Thirteen youths have been arrested after a fight between two rival schools in Barnsley.

Nearly 50 youths took part in what police believe was a pre-arranged fight on fields close to the Belmont Avenue area of Smithies on Friday night.

One youth received a cut to his head and another received a possible broken arm, police said.

All those arrested have been bailed until July. Police said more arrests could follow.
