Kidnap and rape charge man held

A man from Yeovil charged with the kidnap and rape of a 19-year-old woman has been remanded in custody.

Mark Anthony Fell, 44, appeared before Taunton Crown Court charged with nine offences relating to the rape and kidnap of a woman in Somerset.

Mr Fell is due to reappear before Taunton Crown Court on 31 March.

The woman was allegedly attacked in Park Road in December when she was forced into a car, driven away and assaulted again at another location.
