Plane crash

A light aircraft has crashed near a farm near Cheddar, Somerset.

Emergency services were called to Clewer, near Wedmore, after reports of the incident on Friday evening.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the pilot had got out of the plane but a female casualty had to be released.

Crews worked to make the area safe. No further information about the accident, or the extent of any injuries, was immediately available.
