Doherty cautioned over 'tussle'

Pete Doherty Rock singer Pete Doherty has received a caution for criminal damage following an alleged tussle with a photographer.

He was alleged to have chased after Cath Mead after she took a picture of his then girlfriend Irina Lazarea, in Crewkerne, Somerset, last August.

Ms Mead was not seriously injured, but damage was caused to her camera.

A police spokesman said the 28-year-old Babyshambles singer was cautioned after appearing at Yeovil police station to answer allegations of assault.

He said: "A decision was taken that no further action would be taken after the assault.

"He was given a caution for the criminal damage to the camera."
