Emergency action was taken to get hundreds of children to school after a coach firm went into liquidation, Shropshire Council said.
The authority said it worked with other operators to get children to three schools after Butters Coaches went into liquidation on Wednesday.
The firm had run five bus services and a minibus to the Grove in Wem, Thomas Adams and Market Drayton Junior School.
The council said it would cover the routes until a replacement was found.
A council spokeswoman added that it would go to tender for a replacement operator.
