A man's body has been found at a house which was badly damaged by fire in a Shropshire village.
The blaze affected all of the semi-detached property in Treflach, near Oswestry, Shropshire, on Wednesday, the county's fire service has said.
Police said a body, believed to be that of the resident, was found after fire crews were earlier not able to get into the property as the roof was unsafe.
The West Mercia force said there do not appear to be suspicious circumstances.
It said it was working with fire investigators to establish the cause.
The man's body was found in a bedroom by the emergency services, who went inside the house in mid-afternoon.
They had been called at about 0800 BST on Wednesday.
Formal identification had yet to take place on Thursday morning, but the man's family had been informed.
The coroner for Mid and North Shropshire, John Ellery, had also been informed.
An inquest would be opened in due course, police said.
