Dog stolen during house burglary

An 18-month-old dog has been taken in a burglary in Shropshire.

The black Patterdale bitch was stolen from a semi-detached house in Sherlock Hoy Close, Broseley, on Monday.

The animal is similar to a Staffordshire bull terrier and has one ear which is permanently cocked, West Mercia police said.

Anyone offered such a dog for sale "in dubious circumstances" is asked to contact Bridgnorth police station or Crimestoppers.
