Grant for Victorian post office

A recreated Victorian town at a Shropshire tourist attraction has been given more than £120,000 to build a 1900-style post office.

Blists Hill, which is part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, recreates Victorian life with shops and houses.

The grant, from charitable organisation the Wolfson Foundation, will help build the latest feature.

Those behind the project said they hoped work would start on it as soon as possible.

The Wolfson Foundation was set up in 1955 and supports educational projects.
