A rider competing in a motocross event has been airlifted to hospital after falling off his bike in Shropshire.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was treated at the scene after the incident at a farm in Redwood Lane, Clunbury, Craven Arms, shortly before 1000 BST.

He suffered a serious leg injury in the incident, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
