Councillor moves to Conservatives

A Liberal Democrat councillor in Shropshire has moved over to the Conservatives.

David Gibbon has represented Much Wenlock at Shropshire County Council since 2005.

He said he had become "increasingly disillusioned" with the Lib Dems and had been attracted by David Cameron's Tory leadership.

Mr Gibbon was formerly a district councillor for the Much Wenlock ward on Bridgnorth District Council.
