Fund started for dead Pc's family

Pc Richard Gray Colleagues of a police officer killed while investigating a domestic dispute have set up a fund for his family.

Pc Richard Gray was shot dead when he was called to an incident in Castlefields, Shrewsbury, during the early hours of 6 May.

The suspected gunman, Peter Medlicott, was also found dead at the address.

West Mercia Police said many offers of money from within the force and from the public had resulted in the fund being set up.

Pc Gray had recently married his long-term partner, Jenny, in a ceremony in Venice last August.

He also had two grown-up sons from his first marriage.

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the fund should sent a cheque, payable to West Mercia Police, to the Pc Ricky Gray Fund, c/o Mrs Jean Hynes, Shrewsbury Police Station, Clive Road, Monkmoor, Shrewsbury, SY2 5RW.
