Woman jailed over benefit fraud
A woman from Shrewsbury has been jailed for 15 months for managing a property business while she was making false benefit claims.
Poonam Kumari, 37, of Hafren Road, admitted falsely claiming the money and has been ordered to repay £340,000.
Shrewsbury Crown Court heard she had already paid back £54,000.
The sentence came at the end of a three-day hearing into Kumari's financial affairs on behalf of the Department of Work and Pensions.
