A woman in her 20s was killed when her car was in collision with a bus.

West Mercia Police said the woman died at the scene of the crash in Longden, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire, on Saturday evening.

She was driving towards Shrewsbury in a silver Rover which somehow collided with the single-decker vehicle, which was heading away from the town.

The bus driver and passengers were uninjured. Police appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
