Armed robbers target supermarket

Masked men armed with hammers have robbed a supermarket in Oxfordshire.

Two men threatened staff at the Tesco Express store on Fettiplace Road in Witney before making off with the contents of three tills and cigarettes.

Staff in the shop were said to be shaken, but not injured. The incident took place between 2230 GMT and 2300 GMT on Thursday.

Police have appealed for anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.
