Man held over 'murder conspiracy'

A has been man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder after a hit-and-run crash in Oxford.

A man, in his 20s, was walking in Cuddesdon Way, Blackbird Leys on Thursday, when he was hit by a car. He remains seriously ill in hospital.

He had been involved in an earlier altercation with another man near shops in Blackbird Leys Road, police said.

A 25-year-old woman was also arrested on the same charge. They have both been released on bail.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact police.
