Arrest over fatal two-car crash

A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal collision in Oxfordshire.

A driver died and her passenger was left in a life-threatening condition after a Land Rover towing a horse box collided with a Chrysler Neon.

The crash, on Saturday afternoon, happened on the A361 Chipping Norton Road, at the junction with the B44337, Charlbury Road.

The arrested woman, aged 45, was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She was released on bail until October.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 74-year-year old woman, died at the scene.

Her passenger, a 48-year-old woman, remains at the JR2 Hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
