Teenage gang behind two attacks

A gang of teenagers pulled a gun on two men and assaulted one of them as they walked home in Oxfordshire.

The men, of Asian appearance, were walking in Nursery Drive, Banbury, in the early hours of Saturday when the gang carried out the attack.

Police believe the same gang could be responsible for an earlier attack on a man who was punched to the ground and robbed in the Longelandes area.

A 17-year-old girl and two men, aged 19 and 20, have been arrested and bailed.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the assaults, which both took place between 0130 BST and 0230 BST.

In the first attack, cash and a mobile phone were stolen from the 34-year-old victim.

Det Con James Simpson, of Thames Valley Police, said: "I appeal to anyone who was in Banbury on Friday night, or in the early hours of Saturday morning, and saw a group of teenagers acting suspiciously to contact me."
