Teenagers sold alcohol in sting

Four licensed premises in Oxfordshire have been warned after selling alcohol to children as young as 14.

Two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, attempted to buy alcohol from nine pubs and off-licences in Oxford last month in a test purchase operation.

Licensing officers from Oxford City Council interviewed the licence holders which failed the test and warned them they face heavy fines in the future.

Thames Valley Police were also involved in the operation.
