Cyclist dies in waste lorry crash

The scene of the crash A cyclist has been killed after he was in a collision with a bin lorry.

Police said the cyclist, who was aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Oxford city centre on Wednesday morning.

Parks Road, Broad Street, Catte Street and Holywell Street were all closed while accident investigators examined the area.

Thames Valley Police arrested and bailed a 30-year-old man, the lorry's driver, pending further inquiries.
