Mobility scooter crash man dies

A 53-year-old man has died in hospital after his mobility scooter was involved in a crash with a car in Nottingham.

The man was riding on Huntingdon Street near to the junction with Woodborough Road when he was in collision with an Audi A2 at about 1820 BST on Thursday.

He was thrown from his scooter and taken to the Queen's Medical Centre where he died soon after, police said.

The female driver and male passengers of the Audi were unhurt. Police have asked for witnesses to contact them.
