Armed gang target city drink shop

Armed raiders who targeted a Nottingham off licence escaped with an amount of money after threatening staff with a gun, police said.

Officers said "a number of men" targeted the Bargain Booze shop on Varney Road in the Clifton area of the city on Thursday evening.

The gang demanded money after producing a firearms and escaped with the cash.

Police are appealing for witnesses and investigations into the incident are being carried out.
