Man denies stabbing murder charge

A 25-year-old man from Nottingham has denied stabbing another man to death in the city.

Pascal Simpson, from Western Boulevard, is charged with murdering Mark Beard, also 25, in July 2008.

Mr Beard was found with stab wounds on Aston Drive in Bulwell. He later died from his injuries at the Queen's Medical Centre.

Mr Simpson denied the charge on the first day of his trial at Nottingham Crown Court. The case continues.
